Today's Mini

I started and then stopped—when distracted by other tasks—this crossword so I’m honestly not sure how long it took me, but I do know that 1 Across threw me off for a spell. I entered ZEBRA but it was ZORSE, and I thought I was right at first because 1 Down was ZILCH. It fit! Only, it didn’t. Nothing else worked and I had to go back to the drawing board. Once I got ZORSE, however, things lined up again and the rest was pretty easy.
