Aluminium recycling major sets the bar high on circularity • Recycling International

‘Our priority to establish closed-loop material cycles and low-carbon aluminium solutions demonstrates that sustainability is at the heart of our corporate strategy,’ says company executive vice president Emilio Braghi while attending the Aluminium 2024 trade show in Dusseldorf.

‘Our product innovations and commitment to continuously increase the recycled content across our range not only support our customers in meeting their sustainability goals, but also significantly contribute to reducing global resource and energy consumption while helping to decarbonize our industry.’

By collaborating closely with customers, suppliers, and partners, Novelis claims to ‘consistently’ promote new closed-loop material cycles, recycling both production scrap and end-of-life product scrap. ‘This leads to innovative recycling solutions with an ever-growing proportion of recycled material.’ Recycling aluminium significantly improves energy and resource efficiency, reducing the CO2 footprint by approximately 95% compared to primary aluminum production.

At Aluminium 2024 Novelis is showcasing its recycled product solutions for various industries.
